Colorado Background Check Laws

Colorado prohibits employers from requiring an employee or applicant to disclose a username, password or other means of accessing a personal account. This is unless an employer is conducting an investigation for legal compliance purposes. Employers also cannot ask about convictions that have been sealed, expunged, or statutorily eradicated or about any misdemeanor convictions for which probation has been successfully completed or otherwise discharged and the case has been judicially dismissed.
